Neuwied sewage treatment plant wins German Solar Prize 2023

27 October 2023: Servicebetriebe Neuwied in Rhineland-Palatinate win the "German Solar Prize 2023" with the foldable solar system from dhp technology. "The lighthouse concept encourages the municipal implementation of renewable energies," was the jury's verdict.

• The system spans 1600 square metres above the sewage treatment basin.
• The system can be retracted for maintenance work.
• Sensors automatically move the PV modules into the garage in case of hail or other storms.
• 180,000 kWh per year. This increases the sewage treatment plant's own electricity production to about 25%.
